I will be honest, if you do't have the money save up and go proper. I used to have an RNS310, was pretty much the same, touch screen sat nav, if you get the 315 you can have reverse camera, no HDD but had SD reader etc, and it was less then half the price of the 510.

Some people have them and have no issues with them. Personally I'd save.

So I brought the erisin ES8015v head unit , and Im surprised just how good it is. Would recommend this unit to anyone who's wants a fully loaded head unit for under £200

whats the functionality like, i know it's a cheap HU but i had a similar thing in my old bmw e39, did everything you could ever want, reverse camera, bluetooth, tv etc etc but it was very clunky and sometimes awkward to use, would crash now and then too.

these units seem to be too good to be true really for the money i'd like to see one first hand before making judgement

I know what you mean , I did loads of research on this before I brought it , it's only been in for a day but everything seems fine , touch screen is responsive, even works the steering wheel controls , I really can't find anything to moan about  you tube it and have a watch I got mine for £176 all in

ok i bought one, fitted it friday and i hate it.

sometimes delayed responce from touch screen
bluetooth volume is much quieter than radio
when you get in car and turn it on radio comes blaring out because when you got out you were listening to bluetooth
even though there's no reversiong camera, selecting reverse brings up camera screen
when reversing you cannot use stereo / adjust volume etc
that stupid 'car info screen' comes up whenever you apply the handbrake / run low on fuel etc and you have to exit it to gain control of stereo - every time

safe to say it will be going back on ebay at a loss

i'll only be going OEM again, i knew deep down it wouldn't be all it's cracked up to be but had to see for myself, lesson learned  :signLOL:

I had issues with the radio signal with an ebay headunit, couldn't travel more than 10 miles from my home without the local radio stations starting to break up. OEM is definitely the best option was glad to see the back of the cheap ebay one

further to the above the bluetooth volume randomly gets quieter all of a sudden while driving to the point where you're at max volume to compensate, then the phone rings and nearly blows your speakers

also the bt auto connect is a waste of space, takes about half a mile of driving constantly jabbing the thing to get it to actually connect.  :fighting:

Hiya, just wondered what's your opinion of it now after a bit more use? Also, I can't seem to find them under £200 now do you mind me asking what you paid for yours?
