Correct me if I'm wrong, but the original Subaru Impress used a boxter design engine, which came from Porsche.

Ferdinand Porsche was the man who designed the first Volkswagen (under Hitlers orders).

This means that Subaru Imprezas are a half cousin of the Golfs.

I think you're confusing 'boxster' and 'boxer'.

So I am... Porsche never did a flat 4 did they!

I'm from Essex so Scooby's are like a right of passage. I must defend my beliefs.

Love the Impreza.

Moving over to Flickr, sorry for the broken picture links!

Having oil pressure issues? The newer Tsi engine is known to be sh*t for oil starvation on track
Heard this before. Someone I know is using this to overcome the issue:

Due to the size of the oil pump and balance shafts, it's not possible to baffle the sumps.

Only way to do so is to convert to a 1.8T oil pump and use a baffled 1.8T sump.

Have you carried out many of these conversions Alex?

Hey Guys

Anyone got a baffled sump or know where to get one?

Thanks

 :happy2:

Have you had the oil pressure warning light flick on when cornering hard?

No not from cornering, just one time after i got it serviced, so at that point i decided to do the pick up pipe...

Been great ever since !  :happy2:  It was something I was more interested in doing to prevent it ever happening... But as a few have said it's not common to happen with the TFSI/mk5's.. More the TSI engines...
If it's not broke, Mod it.....
