Totally agree with the hesitation when approaching roundabouts etc and if you press just a little to hard on the go pedal, it jumps down to first. If you just give it a second to react to the slight throttle input, it will stay in second gear. I have just had a new mechatronics unit fitted and it's still the same, and from what I keep reading, this is just the norm for the box and a dsg map helps to stop this as it lessens the slight hesitation. One of the reasons why mine is booked for its second dsg map attempt next Thursday
