Brake pad warning but brake pads fine?
« on: October 24, 2015, 03:30:52 pm »
Hi,

New to the mk5 golf gti scene but must say I'm loving my experience so far

One thing that is annoying me is the brake pad warning light being on despite my pads having plenty of meat left on them

Anyone know what might be causing this and how I can resolve the issue?

Thanks in advance for any help

Common issue due to faulty connector, can either be coded out with VCDS or make a plug to join the connectors together will eliminate the fault.

On my lasses old golf I put a split in the connector then taped it up

Also check your brake fluid level if its low this will bring the light on too
