Wing mirror contoller

has anyone got a wing mirror contoller for mk5 golf gti? failed MOT on indicator not working, Main Stealer have tried the bulb and a new unit but thats not working.  They say its the contoller and want to charge me £350!!!
I have VCDS to get the part number but not right now as the car is now illegal to drive and im at work with laptop at home!
Anyone?
