RCD510 Issue
« on: October 23, 2015, 04:11:53 pm »
This is an interesting one. It appears my RCD510 doesn't want to play ball in as much as that nothing will display on the unit nor will it function, yet I can see the screen back light coming on but just displaying a blank screen of blackness.

I recent had the battery disconnected but it worked after that, the only other thing I can possibly link it to is that my friend got into the car with her iPhone (with Bluetooth switched on) and my car began trying to connect to it, since then I've noticed the issue.

I have run a full fault scan and test and I only got one code about the vehicle speed sensor connection not having signal, but cleared the fault and it didn't come back...

Any bloody clue here?

It was either pressing the < and > as well as the top right button or just holding the main power button for about 15 seconds that caused a full reboot and now it's all sorted, cheers mate.
