Heated seat stays on after changing battery? Help!
« on: October 24, 2015, 07:52:51 pm »
Just changed the main Varta battery on my 2006 GTI. I left an hour before contecting the new Varta battery. Everything else works fine, but the drivers heated seat is heating up even though the heated seat dial is set to zero!? 99.999% sure the heated seat switch was off before the battery change.

Can anyone advise? Should I disconnect the batter and it for leave longer? Do I need to play with the coding!?!

Anyone else had this issue or similar when changing a battery?

Help... I can't stand having a hot seat all the time

Thanks so for listening :happy2:

I would use VCDS to check what's going on in measuring blocks to test the switch then do a few checks with the output testes.
The seat heating module is under the passenger seat check the plug is physically home cause it not a common fault.
