It would be on Ed30.
Basically,I read the blurb on VW racing Web page and didn't  believe their claim of +30 bhp.
I have got the bluefin map already,so was wondering if an induction kit would be worth the money or would a simple mod like a larger intake and pipe be just as effective?

Quite, and apparently the fit is so tight, it snaps off a coolant outlet on one of the elbows.  Seems an expensive way to create a problem that didn't exist in the first place!

Getting the exhaust out of a turbo engine is more critical than getting air in, so sort the DP and system out first, and *then* look at the intake if you feel a few more ponies can be found.

It fits perfectly in mine, Looks good too. I dont know if its better than the revvo as ive only had the twin-take, but i do know this..... it was expensive!! i regret spending that amount of money when it's half way to buying a complete exhaust system.

I'm bit of a tart and tend to go for the 'it's most expensive so must be better' approach, but Knowing what i do now i would go with the revvo.

@dansmith180 how did you find the revvo betters the twin take out of interest?

It was just more responsive and had a bit more mid range punch, I hadn't noticed it because I was used to it but the Twintake had a slight lag compared to the Revo. Also I prefer the noise and looks wise they're about even.

The only way you'd ever gain 30bhp just from an intake is if you had a big turbo and all the supporting mods but it was restricted by the OEM intake and filter and then you put the intake on and mapped it again. But to put it on a stage 1/ stage 2 golf they're worth maybe 15bhp tops, if you're not too fussed just get a decent panel filter as that will see some gains and is much cheaper.

@dansmith180 Apart from the potential performance benefits of the Revo, is it a lot noisier than the twintake ?  It's one thing putting me off an open filter setup like the Revo as I've previously owned an ITG Maxogen and my twintake was noticeably quieter.  :happy2:

From what I've heard it will be very similar to the ITG. Much more suction noise and the lovely dump valve type noise when you let off WOT, I couldn't stop giggling on the way home from having it fitted at AKS, best impulse purchase ever  :driver:

I presumed that twintakes would be the loudest? iv been thinking about swapping my TT's for revvo or ITG to see if its any quieter...

The ITG and REVO are quite a bit louder than the Twintake, if noise bothers you then just OEM with panel filter is what you need. The Twintake is enclosed so quieter than an open filter like Nuespeed/ revo/ itg/ vwr
