Good old diverter valve!
« on: October 09, 2015, 07:45:50 pm »
This thing is playing up again..
Got a new diverter about a year ago and it's bust already, positive it's revision D.. Mixed reviews and most are not clear on Gti or ed30 so..

Stage 2+ GTI, 285hp do I go for D or G?

G but get a relocation kit
D if not, imo.

No need for a relocation kit. Treat the G as a servicable part and replace as needed. My G has been in for almost 2 years now and copes fine at Stage 2+

Ko3 DV is at the back of the engine on the turbo right? And k04 is on the front.

Since the DV is a serviceable part, Does anyone have a link to the relocation kit.

Im guessing there is no benefits to either location?

The valve on a k03 car is closer to the turbo, so subjected to higher temps. Relocating it would let it operate under cooler temperatures and in theory have a better lifespan.

Cost of sourcing all the pipes would be more than 3 times the cost of the G. Not worth the effort for what takes 30 minutes to change once every few years
