Snow Foam - where to buy?
« on: December 12, 2008, 11:27:10 pm »
A while ago - well ages ready I got a 5L bottle of super snow foam which lasted ages - I've thrown the bottle and its been a while and cant remember which supplier I used and I am after some more... any suggestions of who to use?

Also need some decent wheel cleaner - spotted something called Bilberry - any good?

Cheers guys  :happy2:

i'd highly recommend tim at clean your car. Hes a great guy. And he stocks the valet pro snow foam which is by far my favourite, and as a plus, it doesn't smell like fish! Smells really good!

I also use Tim at Clean Your Car, great service  :happy2: I used to have snow foam, but find Megs Hyper Wash much better cleaning power and slickness, I just put under a centimetre in my Gilmours bottle, and I can do 2 cars with it easily  It waters down 400:1 which makes this last for ages.

As for wheel cleaner, I have both Bilberry and Megs Wheel Brightner, but use and prefer the Megs. It makes the wheels easy to clean, and watered down 10:1 makes it great value also. The Bilberry is also good, but doesn't work quite as well and needs time to get working where WB works on brake dust faster. If you have really messy wheels, Megs 4:1 will get most stuff off without any hassle.

Hyper wash will last longer as you use alot less (for car shampoo use), as you can also use it for normal shampoo for washing the car down

Depending on the condition of your paintwork, perhaps a more "gentle" shampoo would be less harsh, rather than just 100% snowfoam ?

For example for a prewash on a dirty car I use a mix of 20% snowfoam / 80% shampoo in the foam lance.

There's plenty of snowfoam retailers out there :

I dont tend to snow foam all the time, more in the winter when its worse - snow foam, rinse, wash (megs gold class) then rinse again and dry.

IMO, yes. I have tried both and all I ever use now is the Megs. Apart from sometimes using Zaino Z7 for the occasional treat/change of smell!
