Very green tinge to new oil Castrol Edge
« on: October 29, 2015, 04:33:37 pm »
Bought a 1Litre Castrol Edge topup off eBay (yeah I know) when it arrived it had a "very green" tinge to it, I only noticed when I put about 200ml in...

The seal was intact so hadn't been tampered with, is it just old stock and needs a mix?  I've topped it up with some fresh newer oil but still,

Would you drain it?

As long as it's genuine Castrol, I wouldn't worry about it too much. :happy2:

Moving over to Flickr, sorry for the broken picture links!

Years ago it was green for Duckhams but seems a commonly asked question
