How much is it rougly to change a thermostat? Parts and labour?

It's a bollox, alternator needs to come out and aux belt off. Alternator can take some wiggling to get back in.

Took me 2-3 hours (I think).

I paid my local garage about £200 start of this year

2005 Gti Black 18" monzas, full leather, sunroof, sat nav, heated seats. highline, high spec

Thermostat is cheap, about £25.

A local should charge you about £80-£100 to replace. It's fiddly, but not hard.
