24 or 50 litre air compressor ?
« on: November 03, 2015, 08:55:24 pm »
Might seem obvious to some but will a 24 litre air compressor be plenty for DIY use for working on the car at home, blowing tyres up air tools etc without it keep starting up every other second to build the air pressure up? Just want to check as I know nothing about these.

I understand the belt ones run quieter or so I've read. Then I've seen something about a filter in the line to stop oil coming through but surely you'll only need that if you plan on painting with it? Which I won't be.

Any recommendations would be great  :happy2:

I'm not sure about tank size but as you say there is inline filters available, there actually to filter out water, but as you say you wont be painting with it so no need, the filters arnt needed for using air tools

I'd go 50 litres and won't need a filter as long as u air tool oil ur tools frequently u won't have no problems

I'd definitely go for a 50ltr one my 24ltr is always banging it's tits off when I paint daft little pieces at home which isn't very often. Got a I think 500ltr at the bodyshop which is fine for air tools
