Hey all,

Just saying hello on this. I'm from Monaghan in Ireland and I have recently bought an '07 Tornado Red, 3 dr, GTI, DSG on 17" Monza's. I was looking for an immaculate one for about 4 weeks and got one, it's a fantastic car! Will be going through a lot of threads and topics on this to familiarise myself with VW engineering.

It can only be an improvement on BMW!

Hi mate, welcome to the site.

Get some pics up!

Couple of bits to get you started - diverter valve, pcv and cam follower - quick cheap jobs that aren't covered by VW service. Good to get them done to make sure you're getting full power and as a preventative measure. Do a quick search, there's loads of info on here.

Thanks. I have pics up here;

I had the car checked over by a mechanic and he hooked it up to his computer and it showed no faults. Would this mean that the pcv and divertor are ok? I'm sure it wouldn't highlight a cam so that might need to be checked. The car has 80k miles.
