Looks like a good project :). What series do you intend to race in?
Haven't really looked in to it yet! Long way to go before its race ready!

My worry was the most basic of race series won't even let you do things like your actuator swaps etc etc.
But what if you make it too good for a series that you want to race in....

It won't go that far I don't think, I'm not setting out to build a full on BTCC car! Got to get it on a track and then see where it goes from there really, find out what's available to me!

UPDATE 28/11/15

Off today to pick up a new air filter, ring a busted up mk5 gti from a scrappy to nick something off the loom, and pick up the right sized aux belt, then we're not far off running...

Hard lining for the intercooler done, just waiting on clamps!!!

Lovely shiny pipes  :jumping: Im very tempted to get SS to do mine now. Any photos of underneath showing how it connects to the turbo discharge pipe and the throttle body? or have they also made custom boost pipes?

Im interested to find out the performance spec e.g. cooling temps, heat soak, etc..... of this TRUE fmic setup opposed to the common S3 upgrade with forge twintercooler. Also do you mind if I give SS a call today? going to ask about them fabricating some boost pipes for me aswell. Im sure they won't mind the business.

UPDATE 15/12/15

Wings and bonnet are on! Temporarily/permanently fixed the broken connector for the air temp sensor, just waiting on ramair filter, aux belt, QR connector for radiator then it's time to plumb up and fill with coolant and hope the POS runs!!! I can see now no reason why it wouldn't run, so we're good!

Sorry mate haven't been on in a while! They're pretty packed up with a cage or two and an engine swap (that will make BMW purists cry) at the moment but I'm sure they'll be able to help

NEW THINGS,
She started up the other day! Runs rough... real rough... so we gotta work out what it is and fix the clips properly.
Got a few things because I miss doing DIY mods so thought I'd start on some.

Flush fit Aerocatch latches (sending them back because I meant to order the none flush ones)
Pitking QR Catches, for bumper fastening, gunna be ordering a few more of these to make the bumper more or less fully quick release

Also started to do a magnetic license plate set up just for cool looks stuff but that's a easy thing.

Looking good mate! One to keep an eye on, be interested to see how the intercooler performs. Want to do some solid pipework on mine when I start putting it together next year.
