« on: August 31, 2015, 08:13:41 pm »
Alreeet guys!

Names dave, stay about 20 min outside glasgow.

Had the golf since november, and all has been well! Untill now.
Usually just a looker, loads of great info on here. But now ive a problem and i cant find the answer so thought id better sign up! That or im being a numpty :rolleye:

Car's standard. Just a pre cat delete and a bangin cream interior! Opinions are divided on the latter but i love it!

I look forward to getting the car how i want it, any help will be highly appreciated haha!

Peace

Just popped into my head some pics would be good!

I was in Dumbarton last weekend, after staying in Glasgow to see the one and only KEV.I.N Bridges, then drove up past Loch Lomond and back down past Loch Earn etc and back home to Fife.

Whats plans for the car? You need to post more interior pics, never seen cream in a GTI!

What problems you having with it?

Couple of interior pics!

Its different, i haven't seen another.

Yeah there are some amazing roads about here, dukes pass is a fave!

No major plans really, intake cause i snapped a piece off my air box, then a remap.

It was running really rough, turned out to be my pcv and the sensor on top of my fuel pump. Because of the airbox problem it moved about and snapped the sensor. I ordered a second had pump and the sensor got snapped during postage! Not happy, glued the old one back together and all it good. Also changed coil packs to r8 ones and the dv to a newer revision. So hopefully it will be good for a while now!

Lived for a long time in Alexandria, sadly so old that I remember cycling down the bypass above renton before it opened to cars, those were the days.

I'm a fan of light interiors too, though I'm not sure you'd like our 1999 V70 with cream leather quite as much as the GTi  :signLOL:

The pre-cat delete and remap are a must, surely, engine revs more quickly/freely and transforms the car.

Cheers,
Tom

So many Scottish people!

From Glasgow myself, but I've been up Milngavie way quite a lot the past year and a half so I know these roads too
