Get the wife back to work and then buy a new car  :laugh:

I was going to say Golf R but some recent production pics havn't done it any favours, I am now tempted with a S3 Sportback S-Tronic if I'm honest.

My plans for 2010 are:

* Get it colour coded and get some bits painted
* Get my coilovers fitted
* Find some money for an RNS 510
* Get some Monza IIs or Pescaras for the summer

Its a secret.

But spend as little money on the k1 as possible. Will only do supporting mods to maintain reliability. Enjoy the 2010 show and track season, and then it will be getting traded in and will be aiming for 500+ in the new car :D

Dont do something silly like moving out mate, you will end up in a mini  :rolleye:

Trust me I will be trying to avoid leaving the mother nest atleast for another two years lol

^^^^ i agree but now the golf has the same drive train as the S3 the S3s cons have gone !! does any one know if the golf R uses S3  brakes , intercooler etc ???

It doesn't thought does it? The S3 has the Haldex system from the mkV R32, the R has a new revised Haldex from the current generation Saabs and the Insignia and is significantly more advanced than the systems on the R32 and the one masquerading as Quattro on the S3.

The haldex as used in the saab turbo x is more advanced than the haldex in the s3, new R and even the TT-RS. VAG are still experimenting with the most advanced haldex setup.
