Wash / Rinse buckets..
« on: November 21, 2015, 10:00:45 pm »
Looking to buy a set of wash / rinse buckets with lids and grit guards included, There's loads on the internet varying from £25 and up over.. Whats the best that people have bought and use?.. Ideally wanting transparent buckets rather than solid colours but it's not a must.

Thanks,
Carl.

£30 for a bucket!? The '2 bucket method' will still surely be better than a grit guard and leave you £25 to spend on a nice wash mitt and microfibre cloths!

Your right mate. !!! No way am I parting with £30 for a bucket!! I use the 2 bucket method and have no issues. The grit sinks to the bottom anyway. Yep invest in a good quality mitt and microfibre cloth

The seller linked above also does clear buckets, good quality. If you don't want the stickers or gaurds he will do a custom bundle. I got 3 clear buckets with lids for less than the price of the grit gaurd set.
The gamma seal lids are pointless unless you want to transport filled buckets in your boot.

Yup, plasterers buckets are the way forward, deep enough so you needn't bother with grit guards as well.

For what you can pick up unbranded grit guards for, its worth getting a couple or just one for the rinse bucket, imho.
Not so much for keeping the grit seperate but for rubbing your wash mitt on when rinsing.

Anyone got these:

Not a fan of the grit guards that you have to assemble that the above links seem to come with as I already have them and they keep falling apart in the bucket rendering them kind of useless.. Where as with this link above, the GG's are one piece so they cannot do the above mentioned..

Also appreciate the link on the gamma seal lids as i've found I can buy these separately for around £8 if i think i need these at a later date.. Would be handy if I ever need to transport a bucket of water but the chances of that happening is very low for me.

They are the ones I have, standard detailing quality, the lids are very good, much stiffer than the set I got with my chemical guys set.
Email the seller for a price without guards, I got an extra bucket with lid instead so I had something to put my 'Dodo wheels' sticker on. Still not used that one lol,

Forgot to mention, the stickers are seperate and are not cheap, so mention if you want a price without these.

Looking in the description of the link i posted above, they come with the lids, grit guards, buckets and stickers so there would be no need for me to buy stickers seprately. Also the grit guards look better quality as they are the fixed, one piece ones rather than the self assemble ones which fall apart.
