Votex front splitter
« on: November 20, 2015, 10:11:48 pm »
What are peoples views on the votex front? I can currently get hold of one but I've been wanting an ED30 one for some time.
Does anyone know the price of these second hand and are they any dearer than the ed30 ones?

It's a personal taste thing. I prefer the shape of the Ed. 30 front splitter.

The only difference between the factory Edition 30 splitter and the Votex item is the factory splitter is 'solid' and the Votex has 2 'legs' and is open between the lower and upper grills. Much nicer IMHO.
Factory Edition 30 splitter: ( one I sold!)

I think they're similarly priced if you can find them. I found my Votex in Germany.
Hope this helps.

Yeah it's a tough choice! I do like both. I think the 2 bars are even less noticeable when the cars black too which mine is. I can get a votex one painted for £200 at the minute so I'm unsure what to do

I wasn't too sure about the silver 'legs' at first; I'd obviously not given the chap who painted it a clear enough instruction...  I now really like it against the black as it kind of looks like the bumper continues lower if you get my drift!
Good luck with your choice!

Thanks for the pictures! yeah both look good, I didn't realise the ed30 was solid, thought both had a gap.
The fact that hardly any ever pop up makes it harder, haha.

Genuine VOTEX from Kunzmann (below) for £200, not too bad and about £100 cheaper than a OEM Eddy one,...

I've bought an ed30 splitter for my GTI but had a Votex replica on my old silver tdi. Got to be honest, I think I prefer the Votex!
