Mk6 Silver window switch problem
« on: November 24, 2015, 07:41:41 pm »
I bought a set of silver tipped switches for a 5 door off eBay, mine being a 3 door I decided I'd be able to remove the switch itself from the bit with the plug on it. Did that and tested it but I only get one flick up and down now, so I have to hold the button for the window to completely open or close.

Anyone come across this or got any ideas?

Have you reset the windows after doing the job,  ie make sure glass is up press down and hold all way down still hold for 4 seconds,  now go back up hold for 4 seconds at top,  now try auto function
Loads of extra's and retro fits.

I have not, I just assumed as I didn't get a physical 'click' that it wouldn't work. I'll fit one tomorrow and test it. Thanks!
