Obviously they've damaged the internals and now trying to cover it up as toss pots usually do.

I'm guesing you'll be taking them to court as they're not admitting liability and won't.

If you look on my build thread, you can clearly see the hpfp internals and me looking at it. I inspect all my parcels just incase of damage to contents whilst in transit. I did the very same to this and there wasn't anything wrong

BA I don't doubt you for a moment as I know what these garages do when they damage something whilst attempting to fit it on/in.
I hope they rectify the mistake for you.

Good luck buddy.

They should have realized the engine wasn't running as it should and keep the car enough time to repair the damage. Mistakes happen, it's how companies deal with them that show if they're worthy of our trust. Good luck tomorrow. :happy2:
They probably realised this and thought f it, we'll see if the owner realises and try fob him off with a pack of lies afterward. Wan****

I feel sorry for you mate. I hate dodgy garages for one.

This lion garage, where in Leicester is it. I used a garage off of London Road back in 1998 and the feckaz left me with a leaking recon mk1 Fiat uno turbo gearbox. was gutted as that was my baby at the time.

You from Leicester lol?

Lion garage is one of the biggest uk VW/Audi specialists (apparently). In Leicester, they're based off Dysart way, behind the car hire place which is adjacent to Speedy wheels and tyres.

Your kidding me :surprised: and they've done this to your car?. You need to have a word with management and get them to put it right as that's totally wrong to damage someone's car and send it out like that.

Did you take it back straight away and complain?.

So I went in and I believe the manager of the Leicester branch is called 'Martin'. Martin approached me and asked for my car keys and I said 'I don't think that's necessary' and handed him some paper (letter and an email from TSR stating all their parts are inspecting before shipment) and the, excuse my language BA57ARD chucked it back at me and said 'total rubbish'. As you can imagine at this point, my blood was boiling and I completely lost it. I could not tolerate their attitude as they've been proved otherwise, I just gave it all I had :signLOL:. What a coward! He had to tell me to get out and lock the doors until I left the area.

Immediately after, rang up trading standards and they have started a case. I asked if I could hire a private debt collection agency, but they've advise not to go down this route as it could cause some problems?

There you have it guys!

That's bad dude, one thing is that you should try not to use abusive language although I know your furious as to what they've done.

When the manager asked you for the keys?, why did you refuse him. I was thinking he's ready to rectify the fault?.
Sorry I don't know the full story but that's what I initially thought.

If all else failed then you could have just mentioned trading standards will be in touch and left it at that. Usually this gets people like these di*** worried.

I've explained above buddy. The car was taken into Allumy Motorsport in notts as I wrote the issue on the TFSI tuning Facebook group page and the director offered me a deal I couldn't turn down as the car was not drivable. I'm lucky I did because lion garage wanted £55ph + vat to have a look. Like I've explained, they weren't acknowledging their mistake! They kept saying it's been installed right when clearly on the previous page it shows otherwise! He tossed the paper in my face that explained why the autotech internals have failed and what was the cause. It was all documented and signed by both Allumy Motorsport and TSR. Now you tell me, what would you have done? I asked for a refund or atleast part payment for the autotech internals and said 'rubbish'.

Which makda is this lol.

Only difference with normal mechanics, is they don't have the specific software like vagcom and sometimes lol, you've gotta explain to them what to do and how you want it done as opposed to dropping it off to a specialist and letting them crack on with it.

I just assumed they were willing to do something about it.

Right, now you just need trading to deal. other this.

Did you pay with a credit card by any chance?. You can ask your credit card company to get a charge back but you obviously need to show proof of what's happened.

VW specialists sound like a bunch of tos**** from what your saying.

I only know of one who is recommended by many amd they are Midland VW and the guys off the tt forum swear by these guys although I don't take my car to anyone  unless it's a mega big job ie dealers only.
