Hi,
I am new to the forum and really grateful for the guide which I found on how to remove the gearbox.
I took mine out yesterday (Mk5 golf 1.6 FSI 2008) to fix an audio ipod adapter through but in the process lost that little white cog from the damper mechanism for soft closing of the glove box.
Also, I dont know if it is related but I could not fit the glove box back into the dash after this. I tried everything but its seems there is something blocking me from pushing it all the way home to the right.
If anyone has a spare cog/ knows how to get one/ if I can buy the full box from a breaker and pull the cog out? Any advice on how to push the box all the way back/ common issues?
