Heated Seats?
« on: November 30, 2015, 04:42:47 pm »
Hi,

Can anyone tell me what the easiest way to tell if a set of seats are heated is? The Seats are removed from a car some years ago and stored. I have attached a couple of pic of the plugs assuming that may help?

Many Thanks in advance.

The big plug is for heated seats.

If the pinouts match on both big plugs of each seat then you need the pre  April(?) 2006 loom by Kufatec, if you have more pins on one plug than the other, then you need the post  April(?) 2006 loom if retrofitting.
Used to have Edition 30 - number 009 and a GT TDI 140.
Now have an S4 B8 Avant (stage 2)

Thanks for the quick responses.

So highly likely that these are heated then.

My existing seats are heated so didn't want to lose this functionality.

They are definitely heated.

Question now goes back to what I mentioned, will your loom match up with the generation of seats? Otherwise there will be some cable modding/swapping to do

Mine is a 2008 GTi with heated seats and the seats I am buying are from an Edition 30 so should be of the same era 2007 - 2008.
