brake lines/bleeding
« on: December 09, 2015, 12:35:44 pm »
Hi all, advice needed on 2 points. Firstly are the car body end of front brake flexible lines all the same, I assume they will be M10x 1.0   I know the caliper ends will be different. I have some Mk 7 Golf R brakes with lines, hoping they will fit straight onto mine - a 2011 Scirocco.
Also, is bleeding straightforward ?   I will either do it 2 man, or use a bleeder kit that puts pressure in via the fluid reservoir, I ask as a friend managed to led the fluid drain out of his 2002 TT brakes, (silly mistake !) no amount of 2 man bleeding would sort it, he had to get it plugged into vagcom, which sorted it - I assume it has some bleed sequence.
