Correct, sensible driving with the cat fitted if youve had the map tailored for a decat

Lambda spacer can be used to try and avoid the EML if you don't get the map sorted. Of you have the map adjusted then they're not needed

cool! any good place to order a lambda spacer from? i guess it don't hurt to use the spacer and tweak the custom map? Btw should i install a CAI or a good ( K&N panel drop-in filter ) ?

A lambda spacer is a lambda spacer, not much to them. Pointless using it if you plan to have the map adjusted though.

A decent intake beats the factory airbox in terms of performance

What is a decent brand for CAI?  Can the car be driven normaly after the de-cat is fitted before the map is adjusted?

Fit a decat and see if your EML even comes on, it may already be disabled in your current map file.

If it comes on, get the mapper to map it out so you dont get EML.

If your map is to suit a car with a cat in place, then you remove cat and only have map tweaked to rid the EML, then you put cat back on for MOT- you can still drive it hard as it was mapped with a cat anyway.

Only time you couldnt drive it hard with cat fitted is if its been mapped without one (and itll have smaller downpipe than a decat).

The rear lambda which you get mapped out is not important, its there to make sure the cat is doing its job, hence why it pops a EML when you remove cat. The front lambda is the one controlling the fuelling.

I wouldn't advise wrapping it at all personally, but each to his own
