You need an electric mop polisher at speed 3 if you can adjust it and G3 will do the job.

The black hex is a finishing pad, can you step p on your pad choice and say s17 on your polish choice... try green hex and s17 should give much better results.

on my black gti so far i've only seen any real results using an orange hex pad on maximum speed and autobrite scratch out.  something else with a good kick should work equally hard.  vw paint is tough as nails

green hex pad and S17+ at speed 5 on the DA? should i do a run or 2 with speed 2 after i used speed 5? Green and S17 will use as a 1-step polish or do i need to do a other run with something else? as i have S30+ but not S40 scholl.

Like others have said you need a harder pad. Even then you will need a number of passes with the DAS6.

I was using a Yellow Hex Logic pad and Chemical Guys V32 (i didn't get on to well with the chemical guys polish).

I'm hoping to get the new polisher out next week.

Don't ask me i'm a newbie also.

I would say buy a yellow and/or green hex pad to add to your collection as you already have a finishing pad.

I'm going to be using.
Yellow Lake Country pad with Rupes UHS
Followed up with
Black Lake Country pad with Sonax profiline perfect finish

Not tried these yet so have no idea on the results.
