Newbie (SE London nr. Bromley)
« on: December 12, 2015, 09:34:02 pm »
Greetings Golf GTi Group....sorry couldn't resist!
Apologies first, relatively new to car forums & should have joined previously, as we love cars & have owned several Golf GTi's.
Recently had our immaculate (owned from new) mk5 GTi written off, when another drove into the front/side whilst stationary at a junction....all very upsetting & emotional, but gladly no one badly injured.
Really like the car, but want the same, but different & dare I say better.
Edition30 & R32 seem to answer the brief nicely, but keep favouring one then the other....last week it was the R32 & this week it's the Ed30....any advice/comments welcomed.
Either way we're looking for a late example, very low mileage, immaculate 5dr, dsg, but flexible to some extent on the options/colour.
Anyone selling, thinking of selling or know of a car?
Would really like a car ASAP, but want the right car & will wait.
Many thanks for reading intro. & very much look forward to meeting up in 2016.

Completely biased as I think the Ed 30 is the best car I have ever owned stage 1 Revo and soon to have full TBE Powervalve exhaust system so goes well and sounds well if videos are anything to go by

Thanks to all for your welcomes & comments.

Now all we need is a car!
There's must be a mint 5dr dsg somewhere?
The search continues......

You will love the full TBE BCS Powervalve system - I have one and it does sound absolutely amazing and goes pretty well too. I was on a stage 1 R-Tech map before the exhaust system and was running at 247bhp. The only mod I had on the car was a K&N panel air filter.

After the exhaust system was fitted, I had a remap tweak and am now running at 273bhp. That's a 26bhp increase with the just the exhaust system.

Without the remap tweak and after getting the exhaust done, the car was producing 260bhp. So with the exhaust alone I had an increase of 13 bhp. The remap tweak doubled that figure!

Having no luck finding a car  :ashamed:
Looking for an Edition 30 with low mileage, in immaculate original condition with correct service history, 5 door, dsg, preferably not black (grey, red, white are favoured colours), xenons, rear parking, cruise control & other goodies would be a great bonus
Would prefer to purchase from fellow enthusiast, so if you're thinking of selling please contact me  :happy2:
Any leads to trade sellers would also be much appreciated.
Ever hopeful :partywave:
