Recommend me coilovers
« on: December 18, 2015, 11:36:14 am »
Im looking for some coilovers to go on my mk5 gti. i've been doing some researches and still can't decide which brand would be best for road use. Bc racing, H and R and Bilstein i been looking into most.
some guidance and experience how they performed would be great before i make my final decision.

Thanks in advance

Bilstien B14s are really good I have tested them in a friends car and they are miles better than the cheap jom coilovers I used to have before. The damping is very good and they don't seem to crash over bumps in the road. I haven't got experience of others but from experience I would recommend the Bilsteins.

I ran Bilstien B14's on my GTI and the ride quality was brilliant yet it handled like a dream. I would highly recommend getting a set of B14's

Moving over to Flickr, sorry for the broken picture links!

thanks mate, i was still undecided which coilovers to get 2 days ago. But if members have experience with B14's and feedback is good, i'll give them a go.
where is the best place/cheapest to buy these B14's?

thanks

Old thread but what did op go with in the end?
I have a stage 2 eddy looking to tackle suspension. Either new dampers with h and r springs or some coilovers. Don't want the car to be hard ride though as roads around me are terrible and too hard of ride will make the car unusable and skitty when trying to push on crap roads
