Ok my clutch went the other day on my 06 gti and now i need to get the chequebook out for the repair. The mechanic has also said the fly wheel needs to replaced too. Iv got 2 options regarding the flywheel stick with the dmf or go for the smf. Has any of you had this done or could recommend which route to go? I need to get this sorted asap and get back on the road :jumping:

I'm no expert but from what I've read the single mass flywheel provides a lot of chatter that folks don't tend to be keen on.

Hi,
I am having same issues atm,my car is currently in bits sat on my driveway...
If sticking with dmf I have a brand new sachs module kit that I bought last week containing dmf, clutch plate, pressure plate,Csc,new bolts.....box code is 2290 601 030
It's the wrong kit for my car, if it suits your car ile let it go for £300
If interested drop me a pm....
