A little lost to what your asking now @markos

Is it the part fitted to the turbo itself?. That's the only thing that has two metal clips fitted to it and those clip over the ugly box engine cover?.  TPS or the dealer should have pictures of what comes with it or that parts man doesn't know squat.

no, it's ok. i figured it out! the whole thing actually comes in 3 bits and i figured out which part was broken and fitted it all over the weekend.

all looks fine now, apart from the hose is a little short and doesn't fit all that well on the engine cover. i've tried a hose clip but the bloody thing keeps coming off!

yep, it's where it meets the engine cover... just a bit short and keeps slipping off! it's currently taped on!!

Thanks for the pic.

That shouldn't really slip off with the correct hose clip attached as I've removed and refitted mine several times in the past 3 months

Have you got the correct clamp on it?.

just using a normal hose clip to be honest mate... but the hose itself could do with being a touch longer anyway.

what clamp should i be using?

You should be using the original spring clamp as this holds it tight as they do slip off otherwise.
Clip is the same as in this pictured with yellow arrow. different golf same clamp as I couldn't find a decent image.
