Pioneer AVH x3500
« on: January 23, 2016, 12:32:05 am »
Can anyone recommend this headunit for a mkv gti 06? My mates got one laying around, the car has a stock 300. I was thinking of getting a reverse camera too? Does anyone know how compatible this hu is. Also the car has steering buttons and hi line dash. Thanks in advance

I use this and find it great, I'm told reverse camera works, I don't have steering wheel buttons or hi line dash tho.

I'm actually selling mine, complete with facia and loom adapters

I briefly used a Pioneer AVH X3600 in my Golf GTI and it was a pretty good unit for the money. I never had the other features you ask about but there's no reason with the right CAN-bus compatible wiring harness you can't get it all working.

For a more OE looking unit though, consider the Kenwood DNX525DAB (although it's very pricey) it supports all the stock features of the Mk5/6 Golfs.
