I know, but the S3 IC would be the ideal IC for a K03 stage 2+... You'll get lag that I bet you won't like much... :signLOL:

Yes I had the R6 cooler with plastic ends but wanted to go that bit extra as I'll hopefully get niki to accommodate it all and when I go K04 there's no need to mess about with the IC again.
others have also fitted this cooler and haven't complained yet.
I also had one on my TT so shouldn't be an issue for me.

Got to agree with this, assuming it's in addition to your OEM cooler, @r5gtt ?
An OEM replacement like a Peron or Airtec Stage 2 you could probably run without any detrimental pressure drop. But on a k03, two coolers, and all that volume to fill, it's got to be pushing it a bit. There's only so much air a k03 can move.

Actually that's got me thinking laterally about a way round this. Could you get rid of the OEM cooler and reroute the pipework so that you're just running this front mount? Assuming this on its own would do a comparable job to an S3 cooler on its own, albeit in different locations.

Moving it in front of the rad in itself should see benefit in terms of heat exchange. But there must be some logic in VW designing the layout as they have.

Just seen your k04 comment mate. I reckon you should just bite the bullet and fit a k04 while it's all in bits. You know you're going to want a k04 soon after going 2+ on the k03!

I was never going to use two coolers buddy  :surprised: my minds set to fit the FMIC stand alone and get the car mapped to st2+ and then get another K04 and then fit that in when the warmer days come along. Seriously shouldn't have sold that K04  :doh: don't think I'll find one in as good a condition as that one.
Moving it to the front will definitely help with lowering temps and hopefully with the power I'll be running it'll not give me any lag but pre map I'll be lagging all over the place
