Hi All.
I did swap the manual for a brand new DSG.
In the end the problem was that the mechatronics was in gear when I fitted it for soem reason. This affected the adaptation process and learning and wrongly thought it was a mechatronics fault. When I put it all in neutral it worked a treat. Considering Im not a mechanic and just a hands on enthusiast shows its very doable... just need the balls to do it

Few thousand faultless miles done now and working faultlessly. Even had to escape the floods in Carlisle in December and it survived going in deep floodwater as I left my home. Proof that its a job well done.
In all honesty I wouldn't buy someone elses conversion as its very involved and lots could have gone wrong or not done properly but I took my time, researched, obtained the right tools, parts etc and with the workshop manuals ETKA, ELSAWIN and flow diagrams Iv done it properly. No offence to anyone else

Iv not looked back, loving every minute of the DSG and a great project and learning experience. Wouldn't do it again personally but I know I can do it and understand the components, assembly and workings of them
