Rev D diverter valve - where can I get one?
« on: January 06, 2016, 06:15:08 pm »
As title says, where can I get one of these? Are they still available?
If they are a part no or supplier link would be great!  :happy2:

Why buy and fit a Rev D , it's the wrong part for your car/turbo , they have been proven to leak boost off , Rev G is the most reliable, treat it as a consumable change it with every service

I've heard that they can help with compressor surge on tuned vehicles. Don't know if that's an accurate statement but for a relatively small sum of money I'm willing to gamble and find out for myself.
I would agree it's an earlier version of a correct part but not the wrong part.

I got one of the ones on eBay and it leaked badly. Not only that, it fell apart into peaces when my mechanic took it off.

Hmm...was it the Pierberg version or the genuine VW / Audi one?
Not a new part I presume?

Rev D didn't leak on my ED30. Think it's running 1.3 bar boost (0.9 standard).

I've used the original orange one, D, G, and a GFB DV+.   The latter seems to give a slightly better off-boost throttle response but some of these mods are a bit psychological aren't they? I.e. you've paid the money and fitted it, therefore it MUST be better, right?

The main benefit of the GFB part is it's strength in high boost applications.  It's an all metal + O-ring construction.  Nicely made bit of kit.

Does anyone have the part number handy for the Rev G?  Assume it will fit my 2006 Golf GTI?

One of these ones. Fitted it straight to my car as new, it was leaking so I took it off within two weeks and it fell apart. I contacted the ebay company that sold it to me but they never replied.

Everyone fits rev g even to fairly highly modded gti's, or you could buy the uprated one off ebay for £100? Never heard any reviews of that tho?

I have just taken off my Rev D for a Rev G.

You can have my Rev D if you like, if i can find it.  I think i might of left it at R-TECH!
