Touch Screen Head Unit
« on: January 15, 2016, 09:42:21 pm »
I have only recently picked up my Mk5 gti. It came with a touch screen unit. No booklet. After searchin the net i presume its an rns510 of some sort. But seems there is loads of variations. Mine comes with 2 front sd card loaders. One Media and the other GPS. I cant seem t find any info on this online. It may even be a fake one i dont know. I dont have any maps for the gps card so dont know if this works. Has anyone any experience with this type before?? Find pic below. Thanks in advance

It is a China special. Have a look on Aliexpress to find out more about it, chances are there are a few sellers with this still.

Usually they have IGO satnav, they take a bit of configuring but there are people on ebay, for instance, that will sell a preloaded SD card that should be almost plug and play.
Used to have Edition 30 - number 009 and a GT TDI 140.
Now have an S4 B8 Avant (stage 2)
