There are lineouts shown on the back LO-R, LO-L and the Earth.

Never done it or seen it done. It might be down to you being a Pie 'n' Ear VC.

I have a sub and amp run from my  RNS510 unit, i had to buy an adapter for the back of the unit not sure what it does but i think it enables an RCA to be run from the back of the unit.

I had it done at Source Sounds in Sheffield: 0114 2571550

Probably quite simple to make your own lead.

Use the connections on the back, connected with a couple of repair wires and soldered into some RCA type female connectors.

^^^ that looks to be within my skillset

soldering and physically making one isnt an option for me...if i actually want it to work

so that is something i can simply plug into the back or the rns and then add the cables that are currently in addition going into the back of my pioneer?

thankyou for the link btw  :happy2:

The only 'difficulty' might be that you already have a plug in that location so you need to swap the wires from one plug to another.  Pretty simple tbh.

One problem with that connector is it doesn't have a remote amp output, so although you can get an RCA signal out of the unit you have no way of turning the amp on with the stereo. You could get around this by wiring the remote input on the amp to some sort of switched +12V when you fit it, but it's not a great solution. I used a Line Output converter with a remote amp output to hook up an amp to my RNS-510 and the results are really impressive, but it is a bit of a fiddly job...

If you spliced into the connector labelled amp in Monte's photo here:

http://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/index.php?topic=10662.msg163296#msg163296

Would that give you a remote swtich for the amp?
