On a RHD car with the one-piece timing belt cover this job is a major PITA - the master cylinder and reservoir is there to add to your trouble.

Need to remove / set aside: charcoal canister and bracket, serpentine belt and tensioner, coolant reservoir.

Jack the engine up once you have unbolted the offside engine mount, and guess what - it won't come past the timing cover.

The trick is to jack the engine as high as possible - if it lifts the car off your axle stands that's 1mm too high. Make sure you are lifting the engine by jacking against the very rearmost part of the sump to prevent it leaning back towards the windscreen.

Once up, then you should be able to prize the mounting up and outwards enough to [this is the trick] manouever the timing belt cover out towards the front of the car.

Once the cover is out of the car, the mounting lifts straight out.
