I never ebay plates as they can turn out dodgy so I go to a place in Birmingham. Can't recall the name but it's down the back of cuckoo road. opposite the Nutters and Bolts Fasteners shop.

I have one set of German font illegal that i used for 5 years on my tt and got a £60 fine from a silly feckler just because he wanted to be a feckler and stopped six other times not even one mention of my plates and they were traffic cops too. The other one set are legal UK which I decided to fit to the golf as they are brand new.  :signLOL:

I've ordered for Dubmeister in the past, but have more recently used europl8.

http://www.europl8.net/

I go for UK font now. German does look better, but I was pulled up on it a couple of times by the plod, and have to swap for MOTs etc, so got tired of the hassle.

Litlle Tio: If you order from europl8's website, by law they need ID and a V5C. However, you can also order from their ebay page without the docs (UK legal, with British Standards and manufacturer stamp as required). Less hassle and quicker turnaround.

Makes me chuckle..... Big huge title claiming they are 100% road legal, then tiny font at the bottom of the advert: 'Sold as show/display use only'

That's how they sell them without taking your V5 and ID details.

The plates themselves meet UK requirements.

They'll be the same plates you end up with by going to their website, ordering, then sending your original V5 (not a copy) and a utility bill or ID. I preferred the quicker option that didn't require my docs to be sent off!
