Tdi Engine tec

Hi guys I'm new to the golf seen so please forgive  the nievaty of my questions .I've just got my hands on aMk5 R32 replica it's not an unfinished project. ..my question  is I'm told the 105  130 and 150 bhp engines have the same block and internals ,the only difference  is injectors  turbo  and mapping .now is this right or am I being misled. If I am what could I put in that wold drop straight  in ? Thanks mike

They didn't come in 130 and 150 only the mk4s did. The mk5s come in 105,140 and 170.

The 105 is a 1.9.

Then there's the 2.0 140 and 2.0 170.

The 140 uses pretty much the same 1749va turbo as the old 130 pd mk4.

The 170 is a different beast altogether. Different turbo. Siemens ecu I think. And iirc the 170 had an injector loom recall.

Been ages since I played around with dervs but I think I've remembered correctly. If not, I'm happy to be corrected!

The 1.9 TDI has softer internals. The block might look the same as the PD130 of the mk4 but it's not as strong. The PD150 ARL had a different internal design, improved for performance.

The PD170 needs the DPF removed and a remap. :evilgrin:

Hi guy' will a  2002 mk4 pd 130 engine and six speed gear box fit in to a.. 2005  mk5..pd 105 .. If so is it and easy swop ..
The next thing is wiring and Ecu ..
