If your car is before mid 2006 then 99% you have two motors, if after that then most likely only one. I've seen instructions somewhere how you can make both motors work in parallel by modifying the connections behind the climatronic panel.

Ok to clarify:

Mk5 'manual' controls can be swapped for mk6 'manual' controls and will work if you swap a couple of pins in the back?

I'm not talking about automatic duel aircon

Nope. mk5 manual are levers, mk6 manual are electric buttons. You'd still need to replace it all.

to add mk6 climatic controls to mk6 you need to add 1 small servo motor for the flap which is not hard to do. It was done on b6 passat and everything works fine.

Is there a DIY link for that retrofit? I know a couple of guys who'd like to do it... :happy2:
