camshaft adjustment valve N205

think this is the part number 06F109257C

http://www.partscats.info/volkswagen/en/?i=cat_vag_models&brand=vw&number=1714&set=1725&ein=2005&f=420&hauptgr=1234567890&hg=1&grf=010355420&bf=10355&hgug=103&ug=03&parent_id=2007824&detail_id=2007887

Nice one, cheers

Do you know what problems it would cause if this was not working as apart from the snapped connector which I glued back on I have not noticed any issues with the car

Do you have VCDS? I'm sure it would throw an error if it was fooked.

So did a scan and there are errors but nothing around this. Only errors popping up are below to confirm they are nothing to do with this valve

It's item 30 http://www.partscats.info/volkswagen/en/?i=cat_vag_models&brand=vw&number=1714&set=1728&ein=2007&f=474&hauptgr=1234567890&hg=9&grf=091940249&bf=91940&hgug=919&ug=19&parent_id=2361269&detail_id=2361295
Used to alter the camshaft timing!

You need the part number off the contractor/connection which you'll be able to buy just that bit!

Cheers so you think I could just replace the snapped connector which is fitted on the top of the valve and not have to replace the whole part. From my VCDS scan it seem it is not causing an issue at the moment maybe but by the state of the connector it will eventually go

To me I thought it was the connector not the valve if it's the valve that's broken there not cheap few hundred pounds comes to mind!

Cheers but it is the connector attached to the actual valve that had snapped and I glued back on

Look here it's know as the N205 valve price one on eBay this is the how to http://workshop-manuals.com/volkswagen/golf-mk5/power_unit/4-cylinder_injection_engine_(2.0_l_engine_direct_injection)/engine_cylinder_head_valve_gear/valve_gear/removing_and_installing__inlet_camshaft_control_valve_1_n205/

Price for one I found https://jhmotorsports.com/shop/catalog/valve-or-solenoid-for-camshaft-adjustment-n205-oem-for-20t-fsi-b7-a4-gti-more-p-2471.html

Before I glued it back together I was getting the error the above link suggest as in

000010 - Camshaft Positioner (Bank 1 Intake) P000A - 008 - Slow Response

But after I glued it and re-scanned it went so will probably last until I can get a replacement
