Fiscon Basic Plus with midline cluster and RCD510
« on: February 03, 2016, 08:49:09 pm »
Evening people.

I know nothing about this system but it looks impressive.

My GTi is an early 2005 car with AXX engine and 10 speaker audio.
I've updated the head unit to a Blaupunkt DAB (from 2010 Eos) and Canbus to a later one to stop battery drain.

My car has the Midline cluster only.

Can I still use the Fiscon Basic Plus system?

Cheers

Just read that the Fiscon system doesn't show boost on TFSI engines.

Would a Polar FIS work instead with my setup?

The basic plus is visually controlled with highline and MFSW, and/or an OEM third generation stereo such as RNS510/RCD510.
It'd probably still work as a blind handsfree with your aftermarket stereo, that mutes your stereo during calls, but controlled through your phone entirely.

A polar FIS or other FIS+ devices can display boost, but you still need a highline cluster
Used to have Edition 30 - number 009 and a GT TDI 140.
Now have an S4 B8 Avant (stage 2)
