Apex discs and pads allround £150?
« on: February 02, 2016, 02:06:43 pm »
Good afternoon
I have got to change the brakes all round
I have been offered brand new Apex discs and pads allround for £150? 312mm fronts and 286mm rears
Has anyone had these? If so are they worth £150 or can I get better for a few extra coins?
Feedback much appreciated

Never had any problems with them. Mate had apex on his track ek civic with a 2.2 accord type r engine in it and he had 300mm rotors. If it's just day to day driving should be fine.
Having fitted them to cars at work and at home haven't had any really negative feedback.
Defiantly better gear out there but depending on usage and budget.
I don't know Vw prices for gti discs but you'd not be far off that just for a front set alone I don't think.

Thanks for that, I know there not going to brilliant for that price, VW want £350 all round, Got about £400 to spend, it's more of a weekend car tbh, I know about the the r32 caliper upgrade but it will cost £500+ if done properly

Could probably get Pagid or Brembo OE equivalent replacements from
Eurocarparts. Or ring TPS for the VW stuff.

I managed to get S3 front calipers with discs and pads for £300 all in. The discs and pads had minimal wear also but that was a bit of a bargain IMO.

All you'd need to do then is get a new seat of rear discs and pads which i cant imagine taking you too far out of your budget of £400.00 all in and you've got yourself a nice upgrade.

However if you can get discs and pads for every corner at £150.00 all in then you have a decision to make  :signLOL:
