Remote locking
« on: January 31, 2016, 08:25:50 pm »
Guys

Is it possible/feasible to have remote locking fitted to a 2010 Polo. Car presently has key only central locking.
Any guess on likely cost of this mod?
Cheers

It's possible but I don't know at what price. Contact someone who knows how to retrofit stuff like that. Eddie-NL, RetroRaz, etc. Look around the forum and you'll find the retrofit experts.

Ive done it on my parents mk4 golf which used to have only keyed entry. Still working strong after 2 years and the kit only cost around £20

Really Raz

That would be an excellent price range.

What kit would I need? Is it then an auto spark fit? Do I need 2 new keys?

Cheers

It was £20 a few days ago, they have a sale on sometimes and it goes cheaper.

You just add it to ground and, 12v live and theres 2 wires u solder to some wires on the door control module.

I remember when i did this on my old honda jazz i called up their tech support and the guy knew exactly what colour wires to join the wires to and exactly where they were located

No need for new keys
