Alloy Wheels Help

Got the chrome polished alloys on my MK5 GTI.

Had the OSR Caliper replaced about a month ago now and when I came to washing it yesterday theres like some brown grit which wont come off that alloy... i am guessing this is something to do with the caliper change?

How do i get this off its a real pain and one alloy looks ruined... tried some bug shifter however its not powerful enough

Might be deeply embedded iron filings.

Take the wheel off, saturate it in alloy wheel cleaner (a strong acid I believe) then rub off gently and rinse.

If that doesn't work try some ironx.

If that doesn't work then throw it out and get some brand new diamond cut Monza ii's

They are probably iron deposits as said above. When wheels get hot brake dust can get embedded in the wheel usually in the corners. as laquer is generally thinner here.

Try Iron X first as wonder wheels etc will not be very kind if you do have any laquer peel
iron x is quite good to help you clean wheels anyway and only a tenner or so online.

spray and leave and agitate, may take several applications. if no joy then try wonder wheels.
