are these good prices?

So I was told my front bushes need to be changed is £240 a decent price for this. I honestly have no idea. In the service sheet it says "front bushes on front wishbones worn and movement excessive" so £240 for that and apparently battery failed test which is another £180 to replace. I have never had issues with starting up my engine perfect 1st time always.

So really wanting to know how much you guys paid for yours and is this a decent price or should I book at another garage?

Battery can be bought for £70 or so from Tanya Batteries (OEM Varta one). Fitting is an absolute doddle.

The dealer quoted me 440 for front wishbone rear console bushes with slight play but when I put it on the ramp I found no issues but replaced them with polyurethane bushes bought the set for  £45 both front and front rear bushes. fitting shouldn't cost more than £140-160 + bushing both sides imho from a reputable garage that is. Better to go polyurethane bushes too.

The same company that supplied VW (Varta) originally make this battery. It is a higher rating than the original battery. For all intents and purposes, this is the direct replacement (size, fitment and spec wise).

Only downside to buying electricals off the net is the warranty as I'd prefer the shop to be local of anything does go wrong although the price is very good.
I paid £65 for an oem audi battery from TPS that wasn't even up for the job a few years back but didn't have the opportunity of returning it. We all take certain risks I guess.

the garage I use is rac-london although they do what they do very good and have a good reputation their prices are amongst the highest. Thats why I always have to double check prices. They quoted 85 for wheel alignment  got it done for 25. A lot of other things I had to go elsewhere for because of their prices.

For that sort of money, you can buy upgraded Superpro poly front bushes kit for same price.

I wanted that same company to tow my brothers porsche and they didn't even get back to me with a price hahaha

Paid £400 in the end to a local guy in Birmingham to collect from London and drop it up north to a porsche specialist who stripped it down and couldn't do the rebuild so it came back to Rainham Essex and was done for £3900 towing back from where it was all parts inclusive. head pistons crank everything that was damaged.
