Oh blimey really?
Might look to see if VGS in Keston do gearboxes.

In Crystal Palace south London mate.
Noticed that someone with a black ED30 has moved in round the corner. If I swap number plates, do you think they will notice?  :signLOL:

VGS is Keston are superb. Peter, who runs his own mk5 gti KO4 conversion DSG, did loads of work on my previous gti. I could not recommend them more highly.

Would agree with you there mate. They done a major service + cambelt and a few other bits n bobs last year. Their work and communication was top notch. Picked and dropped the car off too.  :happy2:

Not a problem Rampage  :driver: I drive a dsg too so I'd hate to be in your situation and no one to help me if I were to get stuck with something I couldn't figure out.  :sad1:

I guess you could always join RAC / Green Flag etc and give it a couple of days before being recovered to a specialist of your choice ?

This happened to a mate of mine a few months back.... Turned out to be some sort of gear selection/position sensor inside the gearbox

Similar symptoms as you've described with the gear indicator flashing - basically the car didn't know what gear it was in. His was a TDI Passat though with the stupid key fob thing that you push in to start the car...... His wouldn't start due to the fault
TFSI... Revo Stage 2+... . WMI.... VCDS HEX + CAN, MPPS, VAG Commander & VAG tacho - South Wales
