They typically send you an email asking you to confirm the advert details providing a link which asks you to log into your account. The link is of course a spoof which gathers your login details.

Obviously it's a scam. Had the same email when selling my C63. Just for fun though I emailed back and forth pretending I was interested in selling to him. Needless to say he clocked on and didn't reply :P
