Rear drop link knocking
« on: February 05, 2016, 12:56:47 pm »
It's a problem I got flagged up a good while ago and haven't got round to sorting it  :ashamed: essentially I don't know what the rear drop link even is, but i'm a practical guy with all the gear but no idea so - am I right in thinking I can replace the anti roll bars and will this cure the issue? or is the drop link in some way separate to the ARB? Also would ED30/ GTI ARBs fit the TSI platform?

alot of questions I know so any help would be appreciated/.

The drop links are separate parts. You can buy new ones from VW. A ARB kit doesn't come with drop links included. If you have a TSI 170 CV, most likely you have the same rear ARB of the GTI. The front I'm sure of it, since my GT Sport only needed to upgrade the rear ARB.

The drop link is a small metal rod that connects the end of the ARB to your suspension on each side.
