Haha I dont like chances, especially when it is my money!  :scared:
Guess I'm going to have to!
I think I will go for the blueflame depending on cost! I'll have to see what they say when they email me back! This teamed with a new airfilter may sound ok hopefully....
What grade stanless steel is best?  :happy2:

Cheers TC I pmed him and he has sorted me out!  :happy2:
Suppose I could. I bet nobody knows but is the GTI exhaust run differently under the car to the golf 1.4, 1.6, diesels etc? There is a Milltek one on ebay designed for the GTI for the R32 conversion. I wonder if it would fit...

^^ wouldnt fit.

Another cheap option for you is get an R32 backbox and fabricate it to your car, will still fit, then chop the ends off and buy some tips from millteck, then itl look like you have a milltek r32 exhaust. Not sure if this would work though

....

If you start mixing and matching various parts of the exhaust system you best know exactly what you are doing. I'm not saying that it won't work but only to be aware that factors such as back pressure make a difference and not necessarily beneficial. There's more to an exhaust than just sound.

hi RR, that would be my concern too.

i,m talking to nigel from blueflame today so i will let you know what he says he thinks i should do!
matsu
..................
just spoke to nigel at blueflame- they are producing as we speak a catback system to fit on the existing gti set up this will cost 485 inc vat- this will also be able to be upgraded to the full system ata later date and he said he will keep the add on at the same rate so that it still only costs the 1060 i was originally quoted to get the full system!
woooohooooo :jumpmove: this means i will prob now be able to get the r32 look i want , the sound but just not all the power...........for now mwahahahahahahah
this will also allow me to get the bumper/skirts resprayed and the apron/and my badges carbon wrapped.
ollie- i hope this helps mate?

Sounds like a lot of chopping!!  :scared:
The thing with the R32 backbox is I believe you cannot get it to sit correctly. The pipes are on a slight angle due to the layout of the car!  :sad1:

What I got back from Milltek:
Good afternoon Ollie,

Many thanks for your email.

Unfortunately we don’t manufacture universal silencers that install on to the stock pipework.

We also do not list a specific system for your model of Golf Mk5, it may be possible that one of our systems is compatible with your vehicle with the use of an adaptor but you would have to confirm fitment.

Regards

Leigh Ravey

I have replied and I am waiting on them to reply. I take it a silencer is another word for backbox? So what she is saying is she probably cant help me I think!
Milltek out then!
